Support Workers face unique challenges in their role.
In any one day support workers can find themselves working:
- Across a diverse cross section of clients with huge variations in ability, cognition, mental health, physical health, complexity, support needs, cultures, and ages.
- Across a broad range of settings including in the home, out in the community, at social activities, in clinical settings.
- In isolation, managing client concerns and situations on their own.
How can Support Workers gain confidence, skills, and the required headset to know how to deal with the day-to-day challenges and demands?
This 3-hour workshop will introduce Support Workers to the unique Bower Place framework that empowers Workers to be able to manage boundaries, ethical service delivery, reporting, difficult situations and, above all, have clarity about their role in the broader system.
Suitable for Support Workers across community services, mental health, NDIS, health, education and aged care this workshop will draw on case examples and equip workers with practical problem-solving skills.
The workshop is part of a major commitment Bower Place has made to developing therapeutic practice, service delivery, and training in Riverland SA, Victoria, and NSW.
