How Can We Help?
Cognition
Human cognition is not simply located in the brain – it is located in the entirety of the human nervous system – a continuous line of communication top to bottom that constitutes the rudiments of the system that produces an increasingly complex organism, with an increasingly complex communication system. Ultimately a system that can reflect upon itself and communicate with itself. The Vagus Nerve connects the gut with the brain and thus is human cognition. This system requires an increasingly complex environment into which it must locate itself. Human cognition in fact extends way beyond each one of us, into the world around us, and into the world of relationships that makes up that socio relational world.
