Systemic Practice & Family Therapy

The Bower framework and systems thinking has challenged and awakened the way we are viewing young people and the complexities they bring. It is creating awareness to what is within our control to manage and broadening our capacity to do so. Our team is excited and seeking out more and more opportunity to unpack the framework and understand the theory. It’s practical and helpful, empowering leadership and educators to play appropriate roles in problem solving.

At Bower Place, I was exposed to theory-based, ‘real-life’ systemic practice. I was given the opportunity to discuss, be involved and come up with appropriate interventions for diverse complex cases. I gained a clearer understanding of the important role of the therapist within the ‘living system’ that is the family. Most importantly, the Introductory Course allowed me to work with Bower Place’s incredible team of practitioners, wherein I was equipped with many strategies and tools that I intend to adopt in my own practice.

So impressed that there is a resource to which practitioners can turn to read, think and expand horizons.
