Practical Professional Development
Are you looking to enhance your clinical practical experience in family and systemic therapy?
Are you looking for an intensive, professional learning experience?
Bower Place offers supervised clinical placements in the Complex Needs Clinic.
Our clinic helps clients with complex mental health, relationship and individual difficulties. Clients are often referred to us from the education, health, justice and welfare systems.
Students doing placements with us set professional development goals to meet their learning plan. These may relate to a specific category such as:
- school
- health
- family and couples
- skill area (e.g. interviewing, intervention)
- symptom category (e.g. eating disorders, childhood behaviour problems).
All clinical work is supported by theoretical material and discussion.
Senior practitioners, Malcolm Robinson, Social Worker – and Catherine Sanders, Clinical Psychologist work closely with students to provide a practical and theoretical learning experience that supports their skill level and personal goals.
When can I apply to do a placement?
We are now accepting applications. An interview is required as part of the application process. Bower Place will negotiate a time for your placement that suits your commitments.
How much does a placement cost?
The cost of a clinical placement cost is calculated on the time and the format.
